In the month of July 2021, about three thousand foreign tourists have entered Nepal.

According to the Immigration Department, 2,991 foreign tourists entered Nepal through the Tribhuvan International Airport Office in July 2021. Recently, foreign tourists have started entering Nepal after the government relaxed the ban. Last June (in the midst of the ban), 1,143 foreign tourists entered Nepal.

According to the department, 1,940 men, 1,050 women and one other citizen entered Nepal from 99 countries in July. During the same period, 3,157 foreign tourists have returned to their country through Tribhuvan International Airport. Lately, the number of foreign tourists leaving Nepal has been increasing due to the Corona epidemic.

Most foreign nationals enter from India

In the last one month, most foreign nationals have entered from India through Tribhuvan International Airport. Of the 99 countries that came to Nepal in that period, the highest number of 1,105 came from India.

After India, 819 foreign tourists have entered Nepal from the United States, 185 from the United Kingdom and 165 from Turkey. Among the South Asian countries, four tourists came to Nepal from Bangladesh, 14 from Bhutan, five from Pakistan and three from Sri Lanka in July. Similarly, 78 tourists have come to Nepal from Canada, 50 from China, 45 from Belgium, 41 from France, 26 from Netherlands and 19 from Russia.

25,000 Nepalis returned home

According to the Immigration Department, 25,205 Nepali citizens returned home in July. Of them, 21,509 are men, 3,693 are women and three are non-citizens. During that period, 28 thousand 196 Nepalis and foreigners have entered Nepal. Similarly, a total of 25,034 people including 21,877 Nepalis have left Nepal in the same period.

Last June, 13,256 Nepalis and foreigners left Nepal.
