Strict Rules in Kathmandu from tomorrow: Fines for not wearing mask

Preparations have been made to prolong the ban in the Kathmandu Valley. A meeting of the District Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) held on Monday has decided to extend the ban more strictly after the corona infection started spreading in the Valley along with the loose ban.

After the meeting, Kathmandu Chief District Officer (CDO) Kali Prasad Parajuli said that it was decided to tighten the ban as soon as the corona infection started spreading. He said, "Monitoring will start from tomorrow and those who crowd in public places and do not wear masks will be fined and legal action will be taken."

The meeting has also formed a prohibition monitoring committee under the coordination of the assistant CDO. The formed committee will monitor the public areas of Kathmandu Valley from tomorrow.

The injunction issued from April 3 is coming to an end at midnight on July 4. Before that, CDOs of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur will hold another meeting with COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC).
