Pop singer arrested in China for rape

Popular pop singer Chris Woo has been arrested on suspicion of rape. A student had earlier this month accused the singer of raping her when she was 17 years old two years ago.

According to the BBC, at least two dozen women have since accused Wu of mistreatment. But Wu has denied all allegations. A dozen world-renowned brands have reportedly terminated their trade deals with Wu after the incident.

The 19-year-old student, who made the allegations for the  time, said on social media that she had been invited to a party at Wu's house and raped under pressure to drink alcohol.

Wu is also accused of forcing seven other women to have sex. The 19-year-old student who made the  allegations said on social media that she was invited to Wu's house to attend a party. She said that she was forced to drink and was lying in Wu's bed when she woke up that morning. He said that seven other women told Wu that she forced herself to establish a relationship by promising him work and other opportunities.
