Heavy Flood again in Helambu and Melamchi

 Helambu and Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk have been flooded again. 



In Helambu and Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk have been flooded again. A month and a half after the catastrophic floods, similar floods hit Melamchi again on Saturday night. The Melamchi River was flooded at around 9 pm with wood, firewood, large stones and mud.

The floods have caused some houses in Helambu to collapse and submerge. The floods have inundated Ganeshbagar, Melamchi Bazaar, Chanaute, Gyalthum, Purano Bazaar, Pul Bazaar, Ama Halmo Transport Bus Park and other areas of Helmu-2. 

According to the locals, the stones, wood and mud brought by the floods have accumulated in those places. Saturday's floods did not cause any casualties. Chairman of Helambu Village Municipality-1, Mingmar Lama, telephoned at around 8 in the evening.


It was reported that floods including stones and mudslides were coming. "After the flood came with a loud noise, I had informed the lower area," said Ward Chairman Lama. The river has come to the same level as on June 20.
