The cinema is closed because of a Corona Pandemic

Producer and distributor Gopal Kayastha, who seems to be active in film production and screening management, is planning to demolish the Siddhartha Film Temple (Hall) in the capital. He has been managing the belongings inside Siddhartha Hall for a year now.

"It would be better to demolish the hall and build a new business-style building instead of closing it down when activities in the film sector are halted due to the corona virus epidemic," he said. The hall will be demolished from the last week of July. '

Siddhartha Hall, which was brought into operation in 2049 BS by renting two ropanis of land in Boudha, has a capacity of 400 seats. The hall where most of the Nepali films are released is popular in the eastern part of the capital. "When the film hall came into operation after the corona virus epidemic, the filmmakers did not want to release the film," he said.

He said that he was paying Rs 1.5 lakh monthly rent for the land of Siddhartha Hall. The monthly expenditure of the hall with one and a half dozen employees is Rs. 300,000. It has not been decided whether to keep the hall in the new building to be constructed after the demolition of Siddhartha Hall.

He said that the Pushpanjali Hall in Koteshwor of the capital will also be demolished after the demolition of Siddhartha Hall. He added, "There is no alternative but to close the hall now. If the corona virus epidemic continues, 90 percent of the old halls will be closed forever.

Jai Nepal and Kumari Hall were operated after QFX started incurring losses. This news is in today's citizen daily.

I Went to School for 18 Years... and Got Pranked by Life!

Hey, I'm Shishir. I'm from Nepal, and now I'm living in Perth, Australia. And here's something I've been thinking about: I spent 18 years of my life going to school. Yeah, 18. I'm 20 now, and honestly? I'm still trying to figure out if it was all... worth it.  It felt like a full-time job. 10 to 4, every day. Backpack stuffed with textbooks, notebooks spilling out, sometimes even an extra bag. Then home, the real work started: homework, test prep, the constant pressure to get better grades. I was convinced that if I worked hard enough, I'd unlock some secret to success. That was the routine until Grade 10. Then came the big decisions: Morning classes or day classes? (Day classes, obviously. Who wants to freeze in the winter?) And then the even bigger ones: Science, commerce, arts, law? What college? I ended up at a pricey college in Kathmandu, because a relative went there. Looking back, I think, "Why didn't I just go somewhere more affordable...
